Ceremony

Ceremony

The Incas were a naturalistic and ritualistic people who worshipped the Sun God Inti and the Earth Goddess Pachamama (pronounced Pawch-mama), as well as the moon, thunder, lightning, and the rainbow, all regarded as deities.

These are extraordinary times where we, as a collective community, serve Pachamama, the mother earth goddess.

The rules we grew up with, simply don't apply now, without
shifting your perspective. That's why you are here now.

Pachamama, was the goddess revered by the indigenous people and is still honored in ceremony.

Ancient wisdom is shared during an important time of our destiny to bring back the balance to the earth. It is time. Be part of the solution.

A tradition practiced by shamans in Peru, fire ceremonies have been used by our ancestors through the ages as ritual, celebration, or connection to Spirit.

This style of fire ceremony is built to pray, give thanks, and release to the fire anything that needs to be transmuted. As fire has the power to transform the dense energy that is wood into heat and light, fire takes our dense or heavy energy and transforms it into light. This is an extremely potent form of prayer!

Celebration

Celebration

The Despacho is a gift to spirit, or the organizing principles of the Universe, and is a ritual of energetic exchange for healing, re-establishing right relationship and protection.

There are hundreds of different types, but in the simplest terms they are offerings to Mother Nature who the Q’ero call Pachamama and the mountain spirits, called Apus.

Performing a Despacho ceremony is similar to prayer and places an individual into an ayni based relationship with both the spirit world and the natural world.

Let the ceremony and celebration be simple.

You say thank you. You say thank you for as much as you can think of. And then you keep saying thank you until you feel like you could say thank you for hours. Beware of your resistance to gratitude and tendency to go through the motions of anything wanting it to be over and on to the next thing. Sit down and crave some time in your day to just say thank you.

Gratitude is a superpower

The Coca leaf has a rich and important history in Peru. Visitors are mostly familiar with their ability to relieve altitude sickness, but locals incorporate these important leaves in so many different ways. They can be consumed on a daily basis, either chewed or used to make tea. You’ll find Peruvians enjoy them daily, much like others may enjoy coffee.

Coca leaves are also used in celebration ceremonies, funerals, labor, and religious practices, among other occasions. These traditions have deep roots in Peru. There is strong evidence found from traces of the leaves in mummies dating back to around 1,000 B.C. that the plant has been used for several millennia. Ancient depictions of Inca rulers show the leaves in a pouch over their heart, signifying the important role they played with the famous kings as well.  Join us in ceremony with the shaman

Connection

Connecton

Volunteer in Peru working with orphans, special needs youth and other vulnerable children.

Be part of the offerings to cook for the children, provide them hot chocolate, bread and play with them,  while we explore their family traditions, customs and taste the authentic cuisine .

Meaningful projects will be picked to highlight the trip depending on the needs of the communities we visit. You will be inspired and full of gratitude at the end of this day!

You are welcomed to bring the children educational supplies, like pencils, crayons and even fun stickers!

Crisscrossed with paths connecting communities across geography and history, Peru boasts a stunning vertical landscape that integrates a diversity of ecosystems and cultures.

The uniqueness of Peru’s diversity lies in the connectedness of its landscape in the form of rivers, roads, and pathways that existed long before the Inka Empire (fifteenth–sixteenth centuries) and Spanish colonization (sixteenth–nineteenth centuries).

Across its different altitudes and climates, communities exchange commodities and practices, shaping deeply rooted but constantly changing daily customs and celebrations.
